PESAN KRITIK SOSIAL PADA LIRIK LAGU (Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes pada Lirik Lagu "Bingung" Karya Iksan Skuter)

Criticism is a sensitive matter to be expressed openly in the eyes of the public. The emergence of criticism is based on changes that continue to occur in social life, the existence of which is not fully accepted. As a result of this level of sensitivity, the song has become one of the media to bridge the message of criticism to be conveyed because its form is easily accepted, one of which is through the song entitled "Bingung" by Iksan Skuter. Every message in a song depends on the creator, therefore the purpose of this study is to find out how the message of social reality criticism is in the lyrics of the song "Bingung" by Iksan Skuter. The theory used is Roland Barthes' semiotics which pays attention to the denotative, connotative, and mythical levels. The research approach is qualitative with an interpretive type, based on semiotic research. The research subjects consisted of 10 stanzas of the song "Bingung" by Iksan Skuter without repetition, with data collection through observation and documentation. Based on the results of the analysis, there are messages consisting of anxiety about the implementation of human rights, moral values, problems with government performance, and the poor quality of the media industry. It can be concluded that through the denotative level the song "Bingung" is a form of anxiety from Iksan Skuter, the connotative level is the result of social change from the negative side with several influencing factors, and myth is in the form of individual knowledge and experience in seeing these social changes
